Friday 4 May is Starlight Day

Starlight Day

This Friday 4 May is National Starlight Day. And there'll be Star Parties all over the Country to celebrate.

People will be getting their boogie on atStar-BQs,5 Star dinners and a number of other Starlight themed nights to 'light up a little life' by raising funds for The Starlight Foundation.

National Starlight Day is the major fundraising effort for The Starlight Children's Foundation Australia who bring hope, happiness and aspiration to hospitalised or seriously ill children and their families, through initiatives like Captain Starlight, the Starlight Express Van, Starlight Wishgranting, Starlight Fun Centres and Starlight Escapes.

The whole Starlight mission's manifest is about restoring the fun, laughter and natural childhood joy that serious illness can take away.

And you can help on Starlight Day by attending a Star Party, buying merchandise, volunteering to sell merchandise at your school, club or office or simply by making a donation to the Foundation.

There are a staggering 600 000 children admitted to hospitals every year, of which Starlight only has the resources to reach 200 000.

Fundraising for The Starlight Children's Foundation Australia Starlight Day, Friday 4 May, has been taking place throughout April and May, so keep an eye out for merchandise you can buy or visit the website to make a donation.
