Internationally acclaimed Olympic gold medal winning runner Haile Gebrselassie and Aussie greats Benita Johnson and Craig Mottram will head up the Great Australian Run.
The distance is a bit more than a fun run but shorter than a half marathon, coming in somewhere in the middle at about 15km.
The run will be broadcast nationally as well as locally on Channel Ten.
Participants are encouraged to choose a charity to raise funds and run for.
The Great Australian Run is on November 30 at Albert Park.
