Ricky Ponting has given fans an extra reason to cheer at the Ashes with his Run Ricky Run campaign.

The Test skipper has asked cricket fans to sponsor him for every run he scores in the five-Test Ashes battle.   The more runs he makes, the more funds will be raised for the Ponting Foundation and distributed through the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia for research, care and support.

Run Ricky Run, the Ashes campaign for the Ponting Foundation, is creating cheer for kids with cancer.
