Australia Responds to Bushfire Relief Fund

Bushfire Relief Fund

Yesterday thousands of Australians responded to the Bushfire Relief Fund appeal by donating a massive $20 million in funds, and an overwhelming number of offers of support.

Thousands of Australians have offered to help with disaster relief efforts, and an Australian armed forces unit has even been deployed.

More events are currently being organised around the country, including a charity concert with Adam Brand and possibly James Blundell and The Sunny Cowgirls.

The Essendon Vs Western Bulldogs AFL game on Friday night will serve as a bushfire relief fundraiser as will the Australian Rugby Union's first three games of the season.

To donate time, blood, goods or funds to the Bushfire Relief Fund contact the Australian Red Cross or your local welfare charity.
